I have tried to enable it again by booting into recovery mode, but then i discovered that recovery mode doesn't work, and booting into the USB Patcher doesn't affect the SIP status on my machine. If I understand this correctly, this is because the SIP is Disabled (mandatory step to patch). So, basically no downloaded app asks for permission to use hardware as Microphone, Camera and the like. My machine is a MacBookPro 8,1 with 3rd Party SSD and 2x8GB Rams. Hi all, first of all I know there is already a post about this specific topic but I need to know if something has changed since. (not that it should matter for this issue but 16gb RAM 1TB SSD) Grad student (nurse practitioner so please don't hate on my 2012 it's an upgrade from ye olde late '08 C2D unibody :)) Many thanks in advance to the kind souls who have ideas, suggestions, or just moral support during this time of need. I know better than to not have backed up recently but in my defense, removing Apps doesn't typically brick Safari from doing shit. PDFs open fine otherwise in Preview and Chrome.Īt this time I do NOT want to switch all my workflows to Chrome or Firefox, I do have both and use them for a couple different things on occasion but just cannot part with Safari right now. Before deleting, I LOOKED for Adobe Reader related files-to AVOID this-and did not see any.ETA: I have not emptied trash yet all the files are there, I just do not know which is the culprit TL/DR Version: I can't view PDFs directly in Safari ever since I used AppCleaner to remove the Adobe Creative Cloud
